This is the latest in a series of amazing articles which were the result of some online research I did into potential alternative energy solutions. These articles can be found at my Water 4 Gas Blog As improbable as it may seem, Fred Flintstone had it right with his automobile by means of his bare feet sticking out the bottom!!! Yep, that is the destination to which my research took me! The cave man’s only mistake is that as an a cartoon character he was limited in his potential to “think in abstracts” and conceive of the bigger picture! People are beginning to realize that a significant natural source of alternative energy is human effort and it can be done without slave labor camps! Just by doing what we have always done but by being somewhat smarter about itwith regards to capturing and recycling of energy we can light large cities! Well it certainly seems that ol’ Fred was smarter than he looked! Well, this is one place where my investigations took me. I have other articles besides. My original mission is to make you aware of the treasure chest of alternative energy data at my Water 4 Gas that teaches you how to convert your gasoline powered vehicle engine into partial combination or total water-based hydrogen burning system. But in the process of that I have discovered the genius of alternative energy that I wanted to share other amazing discoveries I have found with you also. Experiments vary from the dance floor in a club that captures and regenerates electricity from the movements of the dancers on the dance floor to energy-harvesting shoes that convert friction from walking into electricity. One shoe prototype can generate about six watts, which would be more than sufficient to keep you from having to recharge your cell phone battery. Besides Fred Flintstone, another icon of 1960s television was Maxwell Smart’s shoe phone on the Get Smart comedy. This is a new angle on a shoe phone! Like some of these endeavors, the health club experiment will not be able to keep a skyline lit or even provide sufficient electricity for the spa's own air conditioning. So far they have only connected 13 machines at one of its locations. When all of them are connected up, the energy generated amounts to roughly three hundred watts, approximately enough to run three 27-inch television sets, 5 60-watt light bulbs or a few hundred video iPods. If all the exercise machines were being used and were connected 10 hours a day for a year, the spa could generate about $183 worth of electricity. At that rate, it would take about eighty two years to recoup the original $15,000 investment. Recycling physical endeavor into an electrical energy source has a long, strange history (no, we are not actually considering Fred Flintstone to be a part of that lol). The first phones, two centuries ago, were powered by turning a crank that produced an electrical impulse to alert the operator when one was placing a. Hand-crank flashlights have long been available. So have hand-crank portable radios. But unlike these predecessors, quite a few of the new approaches stress capturing energy that is a byproduct of casual human life, such as dancing, walking or exercising. Scientists give the ignoble categorization of “parasitic generators”s. There are several researchers focused on recycleing the energy of crowds. It’s as if someone was watching the Super Bowl or a World Series game or a Bruce Springsteen concert and said…”wow! If we could just harness that energy!” Enviu, a Dutch environmental organization, is constructing a dance club in Rotterdam that will feature a dance floor that converts vibrations from those happy feet into electricity. One potential blueprint for the dacne floor integrates piezoelectric crystals, which generate a small electric current when compressed. But Enviu's 20-by-20-foot floor is costing $260,000 and will generate only enough power to operate some lights embedded in it. So this is more of a novelty than a solution. Designers in Great Britain has been developing materials for flooring that could ultimately serve to collect energy from throngs of commuters walking into busy subway tunnels. In one design, every step on the floor would push liquid through a microturbine, generating electricity. Allow me to take a second to focus some attention back towards my main activity while I continue with these happy musings about Fred Flinstone’s alternative energy solutions. WATER4GAS is offering information at a low price which consumers can use at home to put together a small gizmo which infuses hydrogen into the gas/air mixture that their car runs on. The process makes bite sized particles out of the particles that the system uses as fuel. Because of the smaller size it is able to use much more of it. With WATER4GAS you can reasonably expect to lower your gasoline consumption by 12%. In reality though many are obtaining thirty to fifty percent improvement or even more. Those particles "musta" been pretty "blankin'" huge in some systems before. But with WATER4GAS they are made consumable so you can lower your gasoline consumption. It also helps make emissions significantly cleaner. This information has been purchased by over 9000 people already and the percentage of happy customers is about 99%! So that's a start!
