Many of the classic pornography movies and films are making their way to becoming the much sought after XXX DVD. Classics like Deep Throat and Boys in the Sand were some of the best all time adult film classics, and they, along with hundreds of others, are available to fans as a XXX DVD that they can buy to watch in their own home.

During the 1970s, these XXX DVDs to be were only shown in certain movie theaters that were specifically for the adult movies. Little by little, pornography became more and more socially acceptable as a genre. Many of the greatest classic porno movies were made during the 1970s and 1980s. The first huge boost that the pornography industry got as far as distribution was concerned came with the invention of the VCR and videocassette tapes. This shifted the direction of the pornography industry to new heights, and availability of the films skyrocketed.

The XXX DVDs that are on the market today are a combination of new, modern porn and the vintage and classics. XXX DVD vintage movies are those that were made before the 1970s. The classics are considered those that were made during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. With video recorders, people could now enjoy the adult movies in the comfort of their own home, as opposed to having to go to a movie house to see them. The XXX DVD was not too far in the future at this point in time. It was a revolutionary idea, at first, to release XXX movies onto video, but it quickly caught on, and it wasnt long before porn studios were releasing their movies directly to video format.

Before the invention of the XXX DVD, people were able to make their own private adult movies in their homes, thanks to the VCR and video tape recorders. Not only that, but once the Internet became a common commodity, those home movies started popping up all over XXX DVD websites.

The change from watching XXX DVD movies in the theaters to watching them at home came at a time when the AIDS crisis was just breaking through. The sex industry began to panic, along with the rest of the world. XXX DVDs became a safe way to enjoy pornography without going to a public movie house, where people often became so aroused that they would have sexual encounters right there in the theater.
