Family incest porn is one of the most taboo types of pornography in the world. In fact, it is completely banned in many countries, including the relatively socially liberal state of Australia (where it is rates as Refused Classification (RC). It is technically legal in the United States, though many people in Congress would like to change that. Outside of the realm of pornography, family incest is a pretty big problem.

In fact, according to the National Center for Victims of Crime, a huge percentage of rape committed in America is family incest. The centre released a report that went into great detail about family incest statistics, saying that, research indicates that 46 percent of children who are raped are victims of family members. Although family incest goes largely unreported, since the victims are often threatened or are too embarrassed to come forward, it is estimated that as many as 20 million American children have been victims of family incest.

Still, not all family incest involves actual penetration or molestation. There is also emotional family incest, where a parent or older family member relates to a child in a way that makes him or her a substitute for an adult partner. Co dependency usually ensues, which can render the child emotionally wrecked for decades following the incidences of emotional family incest. According to Martyn Carruthers, a writer specializing in family incest, even without the sexual aspect of traditional family incest, the abuse of the emotional variety can be just as damaging. Worse yet, it is widely considered to be socially acceptable in many countries.

A study on family incest that was released in the 1970s discovered that there were several common features within families before the family incest actually occurred. Some of these features include an estrangement between the daughter and the mother, extreme paternal control and dominance and/or a weak mother figure (so that some of the motherly responsibilities are now the duty of the daughter). When family incest is perpetuated against a young female, the child is most likely to be the oldest, if not an only, child.

Although many people regularly get off to family incest porn, it is definitely not something that should be taken lightly, as it has ruined countless lives. The subject was even touched upon in a recent episode of the Showtime TV series Weeds. Although it can be a very serious matter, it can also be something that is quite enjoyable for the right kind of person.
