However it needs to be known that nothing is farther from the truth when it comes to these myths, and that hypnosis is a natural state of consciousness that we have all been in before anyway. A person who is under the induction of hypnosis is completely aware of his or her surroundings and they are more receptive to acceptable suggestions. The mind is solely concentrated on these suggestions and nothing else, and it is much like being deeply involved in a movie or reading a good book for instance, where you are basically unaware of the different things going on around you. The most important conclusion to get out of all of this is the fact that hypnosis is a very positive thing, even though there has been a lot of negative controversy surrounding it over the years, and that it can really do a lot of good for you if there is something that you are suffering with in your life.
